Module Two will focus on FIBUA – (Fighting In Built Up Areas). You will be broken down into teams and be assigned a BREAK-POINT DS as team leader. You will be trained in depth in all aspects of building assault and multiple room clearance, and other skills relative to our main weekend event OPERATION BREAK-POINT.

You will be trained in:

  • Advanced weapon skills
  • Building assault
  • Combat medical
  • Surveillance, mobile
  • Unarmed combat drills
  • Conduct under capture

Having mastered these advanced skills you will take part in a live mission that will make sure you put into practice all you have learnt!

This event is suitable for all fitness levels but you should have a reasonable level of fitness and enjoy spending time outside.

How fit do I need to be?
You do not need a high level of fitness to take part in Basecamp events. These are experience events where you will be able to try out new skills in a safe environment. However, you should be active and partake in basic physical exercise.
Is there an upper or lower age limit?
You have to be over 18 to attend BREAK-POINT events, due to insurance. At BREAK-POINT we believe that age is just a number. We’ve had attendees on Break-Point courses aged between 18 and 60+.
What do I bring?

The weather and temperature are unpredictable so please be prepared for all eventualities. 

Full details of what to bring will be sent out to you in a Candidate Brief but this is a standard course kit list for our weekend events:

  • Walking Boots with good ankle support
  • Dark Clothing (outdoor adventure kit)
    • Hiking Trousers
    • 2 Light Weight T-Shirts
    • Fleece
    • Waterproof Jacket
    • 2 Pairs of Socks
    • Warm Beanie Style Hat
    • Cap (for summer events)
  • Water Bottle 1L
  • Head Torch
  • Day Sack (Small Rucksack)
  • Sleeping Bag (Suitable for the time of year of the event)
  • Wash Kit (Very Basic)
  • Wet Wipes
  • Sun Screen & Inspect Repellent (weather dependent)
  • Anything else you deem as essential
  • Any Medication that you will need
How do I get to the venue?
The venue and travel instructions will be sent out to you in your Candidate Brief.
Do I need to bring a sleeping bag?
Yes, due to hygiene reasons please bring your own sleeping bag suitable for the time of year.
Do I need to bring food and drink?
BREAK-POINT will supply you with a 24 hour ration pack which will contain all your meals, refreshments and snacks for the event. Please bring any additional food/drink if you think you’ll need it.
What time does the event start/finish?
Timings are 1900hrs on Saturday until 1500hrs on Sunday but full instructions will be sent to you in a Candidate Brief.
Can I bring family and/or friends to watch?
Unfortunately not. We are unable to accept spectators.
Do you have medical facilities and/or a doctor on site?
We have qualified first responders on site at all times. Our protocols for putting on events includes detailed planning around emergency response and medical care.
I have medical conditions - can I still do the course safely?
We suggest you seek medical advice prior to joining BREAK-POINT courses in terms of any medical condition that should be declared on your medical declaration form.
Do you cater for special dietary requirements, like veganism or allergies?
Yes – allergies and special dietary requirements can be accommodated and should be stated on your medical declaration form.
Am I allowed to film the experience/upload footage to the internet (eg Facebook/YouTube)?
No filming or photography is allowed during BREAK-POINT events. We cannot accept responsibility for lost or broken electronic equipment. However we take photos and video footage for our own marketing purposes and can supply you with pictures from the event. We actively encourage participants to share their experiences on social media afterwards.
